Dr. Ilyas Absar, Founder & President

Dr. Absar has more than 30 years experience in management, process and operations implementation, software development, quality assurance and reviving stalled programs. He has held senior management positions at in both start-up (iDini, AVOCS, Raynet, CH&E, Solopoint, Poundtel, Pretzel Logic) and established (Nortel, Ericsson, Tandem/Compaq, Sega, British Petroleum) companies. He revitalized a NorTel funded start-up, saving $20M and completing this 2-year complex program 9 months ahead of schedule. With good comprehension of international standards, he made fundamental contributions to ISO and CMM certification efforts at Nortel, Ericsson and Tandem. He has consistently improved the high quality of products in all his endeavors. He holds Ph.D in Theoretical Chemistry.

Art McCarty, Marketing & Business Development

Art McCarty has several years of marketing experience at HP in international marketing, RF instrumentation, frequency counters, semiconductor CAD tools, oil well instrumentation, land surveying instrumentation, precision timekeeping with quartz oscillators and atomic clocks, and photomasks for semiconductors. He regularly made and met forecasts to match corporate objectives with a consistent growth in sales averaging at 10% per year. He is an expert negotiator and communicator with customers as well as in internal company personnel detailing marketing specifications for development and modification of products to meet customer needs. A BSEE graduate in Computer Science, he has completed graduate studies in EE as well as Business Management. He started his career as a test engineer making technical contributions to the automatic testing of various types of semiconductor devices (all types of diodes, op-amps, transistors, digital IC's). He has worked for Lockheed, Fairchild Semiconductor, Raytheon Semiconductor, Teledyne Semiconductor and Hewlett-Packard.

Farooq Ijaz, Engineering & Technology

Farooq Ijaz has more than 6 years of product development experience, which includes international experience. His technical background includes design and development of enterprise level applications, distributed systems, web and portal based applications, desktop applications and Internet technologies. Farooq is a Microsoft Certified Professional in .NET and SQL Server technologies, IBM certified OOAD and RUP professional and a certified Project Management Professional from PMI. Farooq holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Masters In Software Project Management both from FAST University of Computers and Emerging Sciences. Farooq has managed teams to design and deliver products and systems for a variety of industries primarily in retail and publishing domains. Prior to AverID, Farooq has worked at Itim Systems, where he worked on Itim’s flag ship product “The Retail Suite” as a Development Lead.
